The spotlight is back on Africa’s entertainment industry as the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) gears up for its 11th edition. Celebrating talent from across Nollywood and the continent, this prestigious event honors outstanding achievements in film, television, and digital content creation.

This year’s nominees have given us performances that linger in the mind long after the screen goes dark. From powerful portrayals to unforgettable moments, both the men and women in the spotlight have showcased the very essence of storytelling. The women have commanded the screen with passion and poise, while the men have delivered raw, captivating portrayals that pull at the heartstrings.

The 2025 AMVCA ceremony is set to take place in Lagos this May and will be aired live on all Africa Magic channels.

Among the most nominated films this year are “Seven Doors” by Femi Adebayo, “Lisabi: The Uprising” by Lateef Adedimeji, and “Skeleton Coast” by Robert Peters.

Stay tuned for the full list of nominees and gear up for an evening filled with glitz, glamour, and well-deserved recognition!
