Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has finally broken her silence weeks after her estranged husband, music star 2Baba, announced their separation.

Back in January, 2Baba revealed that he and Annie had been apart for some time and had filed for divorce. Amidst the public speculation, rumors surfaced that Annie was receiving rehabilitation care, and she remained off social media throughout the ordeal.

Earlier today, Annie made a quiet return to social media, clearing out all her previous posts. In a heartfelt message, she expressed deep gratitude to her family, friends, and everyone who supported her during the challenging period. Notably, she signed off using her maiden name, leaving out “Idibia.”

“To my family, my friends who stood by me, my amazing support system, and everyone around the world who showed me love – thank you. I am truly grateful and do not take any of it for granted. May blessings follow you always. Lots of love, Annie Uwana Macaulay,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, 2Baba has moved on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru. The singer had previously made it clear that Natasha had no role in the breakdown of his marriage with Annie.

He addressed the rumors, saying, “There’s no fight or quarrel – everyone is okay. Honourable Natasha has been unfairly labeled a homewrecker, but she is an incredible young woman who had nothing to do with the situation. I love her, and I intend to marry her.”

2Baba and Annie were married for 12 years, having tied the knot in 2012, and they share two beautiful daughters.
