Veteran Nigerian musician Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has shared that he and his family have relocated to the United States. In a heartfelt post on his official Instagram page, the 43-year-old artist explained that the move is part of his journey to fulfill his life’s purpose.

Banky W wrote, “For family. For faith. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Wish us well.”

In response, his wife, Adesua Etomi, shared a touching comment, saying, “Home is wherever you are.”

Earlier this year, Banky W revealed his enrollment at Georgetown University to pursue a degree in Policy Management. His decision to move marks a new chapter in his life, focused on education and personal growth.

Banky W and Adesua got married in 2017 in a beautiful ceremony in South Africa, and they welcomed their son, Hazaiah, in 2021. Beyond music, Banky W has also ventured into politics. In 2023, he ran as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos. Though he lost the election to Labour Party’s Thaddeus Attah, his political ambitions and influence remain significant.

Fans and fellow celebrities have flooded Banky W’s Instagram post with messages of support. Gospel singer Nikki Laoye commented, “Much love to you, bro. God is with you and your family every step of the way.” Actress Rita Dominic added, “Aww, it’s the way your son is looking up to you both! God guide, direct, and protect you all.”

As Banky W embarks on this new journey, his fans and supporters are wishing him and his family the best as they settle into life in the U.S. and take on new challenges.
