Big Brother Naija paid tribute on Monday night to three of its former housemates who have passed away.

During the live show, current contestants gathered as images of the late stars lit up the screen, followed by a minute of silence in their honor.

Those remembered were Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey.

Francisca, the vibrant runner-up of the very first season in 2006, passed away in 2024 after an illness. Joseph, also from that pioneer season, died in May 2023 after battling health issues. Rico Swavey—real name Patrick Fakoya—who won fans during the Double Wahala season in 2018, tragically lost his life in 2022 after a car accident.

The heartfelt moment on stage served as a reminder of their impact on the BBNaija community and the memories they left behind.

Meanwhile, across social media, Anita Brown, rumored to have ties to Afrobeats star Davido, sparked conversations with a pointed message about the “fake lives” of certain celebrities.

Though she didn’t name anyone directly, her comments came just days after Davido and Chioma’s grand wedding in Miami on August 9, 2025—an event that pulled in A-list entertainers and high-profile guests.
