Big Brother Naija is back and bigger than ever as MultiChoice Nigeria sets the stage for the tenth season, premiering with a double launch on Saturday, 26 July and Sunday, 27 July 2025.

At a press briefing held Wednesday, organisers revealed that this season’s winner will walk away with a whopping ₦150 million — the highest prize the show has ever offered since its launch in 2006.

Fan-favorite Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as host, ready to steer viewers through ten weeks of drama, alliances, surprises, and all the twists that have come to define the BBNaija experience. The season will wrap up with a grand finale on 5 October 2025.

Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of General Entertainment at MultiChoice, hinted that Season 10 will go beyond the usual thrills. “This isn’t just another season—it’s a celebration of the show’s journey and legacy,” she said. The official theme will be unveiled on launch night.

Auditions kicked off in May, beginning with online applications from 3 to 7 May, and followed by in-person screenings in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu between 16 and 18 May. The selection focused on finding bold, entertaining personalities from across the country.

At the event, Ebuka shared some behind-the-scenes stats: BBNaija has featured 197 housemates over nine seasons, awarded a total of ₦637 million in cash prizes, and aired for 709 days in total.

Season 9, themed No Loose Guard, shook things up with a duo format. Housemates entered in pairs, later splitting up to compete individually. Kellyrae made history as the first married contestant to win the show, walking away with ₦100 million. Memorable names from that season included Wanni X Handi, the Mbadiwe twins, Onyeka, Nelly, and Shaun.

The Season 10 launch will air live at 7 p.m. WAT on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Family, and Showmax. Viewers can also catch the 24-hour coverage on DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, and stream it live via the DStv and GOtv Stream apps.

Weekly eviction shows will continue every Sunday across all platforms.
