Reality TV star Adekunle Olopade has shared new updates regarding his earlier encounter with the Nigerian Police.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate had previously accused some police officers of harassing and assaulting him while he was out on a night drive in his mother’s car.

In a recent post on his 𝕏 (Twitter) account, Adekunle revealed that the officers involved have now faced disciplinary action.

He wrote, “The past few days have been tough, but I’m glad to share some good news. I want to sincerely thank the Lagos State Police Command’s Complaint Response Unit for their quick and professional response. From the moment the news broke, they reached out and took immediate action to investigate the matter. I’ve been working closely with the ACP in charge of the Area J Command, Elemoro, Ibeju-Lekki, providing all necessary information to ensure the officers responsible were identified and held accountable.”

Adekunle expressed relief that justice had been served, adding that he was encouraged by the swift response from the police authorities.

“I just left the Elemoro Police Station, and I’m happy to confirm that, thanks to ACP Oluyemisi Ojo’s efforts, the officers have been found and disciplined. Justice has truly been served. It’s a huge relief knowing that fairness can still prevail, even at a time when public confidence in the police is low,” he stated.

He also urged Nigerians not to remain silent in the face of police misconduct. “If you ever face harassment or brutality, speak up. Gather evidence and report it. The Lagos State Complaint Response Unit genuinely works — they are here to protect citizens and ensure accountability within the force,” he added.
