Tacha Breaks Down Over Benue Killings: “Where Did We Go Wrong?”
Reality star and media personality Tacha couldn’t hold back her tears as she reacted to the heartbreaking news coming out of Benue State, where over 200 lives were reportedly lost in a brutal attack.
Speaking from a hospital bed, her voice cracked with emotion as she questioned what it truly means to be Nigerian in the face of such tragedy and silence.
“I woke up asking myself, where did we go wrong?” she cried. “Did we choose to be here? Why is being Nigerian starting to feel like a punishment?”
With raw emotion, Tacha compared the heartbreaking situation to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. Despite being at war, those countries hadn’t recorded the kind of bloodshed Nigeria is witnessing in peacetime.
“In Nigeria, you go to bed and you’re not even sure you’ll wake up. And then we have to beg for those in power to even speak on it?” she asked, visibly shaken.
She didn’t hold back in calling out the government’s silence and lack of empathy, pointing out that it took a spiritual leader from thousands of miles away to publicly acknowledge the pain Nigerians are going through—before any word came from within.
“How can human life mean so little to leaders who have families of their own?” she asked. “Where is the compassion? Where is the accountability?”
Tacha’s outcry echoes the sorrow and outrage of many Nigerians who are tired of feeling unheard, unsafe, and unseen in their own country. Her words struck a deep chord—reminding us that grief, when ignored, doesn’t fade; it only burns hotter.
