The annual SA Style Awards ceremony was recently held. It’s safe to say it was a glamorous affair. Fashionistas, media personalities, and influencers dressed to impress at Hyde Park in Sandton, Johannesburg. The theme for this year’s awards was Uber Glam – Dare To Be Red, and the stars delivered.
South African rapper Boity Thulo stole the show in an 80s-style red power suit designed by Suit Luxe, serving girl-boss fashion.
A one-button, strong-shouldered jacket, matching flared pants, and a white dress shirt with reflective buttons completed the structured ensemble. The retro silhouette was given a sleek, modern makeover by a slim lapel, which, combined with Boity’s fresh accessorizing—note the matching sunnies and red strappy heels—lifted the outfit into the territory of 21st-century chic.
The beauty accessorized her look with a bold red lip and perfectly defined brows, which she paired with long black straight hair with a deep side part and swooped edges.
