The ruling APC party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has won Niger state, west of Abuja, according to the electoral commission.
He received 375,183 votes, with the opposition PDP’s Atiku Abubakar receiving 284,898 votes.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party finished fourth, trailing NNPP candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Niger is the 17th of 36 newly declared states.
