According to official results from the Electoral Commission, Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the ruling APC party, has won the vote in Benue state in central Nigeria.
He received 310,468 votes, just ahead of Labour Party candidate Peter Obi, who received 308,372 votes.
According to the results, 27,687 votes in the state were rejected.
With 130,081 votes, Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition PDP finished third.
