The opposition Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has won Abuja by a landslide.
He received 281,717 votes, while his nearest rival, Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC, received 90,902.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party received 74,194 votes.
Mr. Obi is popular among young voters in urban areas and has also won the state of Lagos.
His party and the PDP have demanded a new election, citing irregularities.
Mr. Tinubu is currently leading in the polls.
