The Borno State Commissioner for Finance, Ahmed Ali Ahmed, has passed away.
Reports are still emerging, but sources close to the situation told Daily Trust that Ahmed was found dead in his room early Monday morning. He had not emerged at his usual time, prompting concern and leading to the forced entry into his room, where he was discovered.
An insider confirmed the tragic news, saying, “Oga is no more; he died early this morning.”
This loss marks the second cabinet member Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has mourned within the past year.
