Ooni of Ife Celebrates Daughter’s 30th Birthday with Heartfelt Message
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has shared a touching tribute to his daughter, Princess Adeola Ogunwusi, on her 30th birthday, humorously reminding her to “bring a husband to daddy.”
Taking to Instagram, the Ooni expressed his pride and joy in his daughter, praying for God’s continued guidance in her life. Reflecting on his advice to her at different stages of her life, he highlighted the milestones they’ve shared.
“When you were 10,” he recalled, “I talked to you about school and your future. At 20, I emphasized the importance of morals and well-being. Now that you’re 30, it’s time to bring a husband to daddy.”
He wrote: “Princess Adeola, Aanuoluwapo, Atutunini, Bamdefe Ogunwusi, Omo Ojaja II. I am truly grateful for the fulfilling life you have lived. May God Almighty continue to be with you in all your endeavors. Amen!
“When you turned 10, your father would talk to you about school and your future. At 20, he encouraged you to understand the importance of morals and well-being, even as you sought independence.
“Now that you are 30, you are a grown woman. Your father senses that you no longer wish to be advised as independence has finally set in.
“I talked to you at 10 and saw your subtle independence. I talked to you at 20 and noticed your growing independence. Now, at 30, you are a grown woman. So, go and bring a husband to daddy…
“With love from the throne of Oduduwa.”
