Burna Boy and Shaboozey Link Up for New Track “Change Your Mind” Ahead of Upcoming Album

Burna Boy is back with new music—and this time, he’s teaming up with none other than country music’s genre-bending rising star, Shaboozey.

Their collaborative track, Change Your Mind, drops Tuesday, July 8, and it’s already buzzing with anticipation. The song will feature as Track 15 on Burna’s upcoming album, No Sign of Weakness, which lands just a few days later on July 11.

If the energy from their surprise preview during a Grammy afterparty earlier this year is anything to go by, fans are in for a ride. That night marked Shaboozey’s first time at the Grammys, where he came in strong with five nominations—including nods for Song of the Year and Best New Artist—thanks to his viral hit A Bar Song (Tipsy).

Though Shaboozey’s name might sound new to some, he’s been carving out a space all his own. Born Collins Obinna Chibueze, the Nigerian-American artist blends country, hip-hop, and R&B in a way that feels fresh, bold, and unmistakably him. His work with Beyoncé on Cowboy Carter (featuring on both Spaghettii and Sweet Honey Buckiin’) put him firmly on the map, making him the only artist with multiple appearances on the album. Together, he and Queen Bey even made history as the first Black artists to top the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart back-to-back.

Burna Boy, never one to shy away from pushing boundaries, is adding this new flavor to an already star-studded project. No Sign of Weakness features 16 tracks, including Bundle By Bundle, and big-name collaborations like TaTaTa with Travis Scott, Empty Chairs with rock legend Mick Jagger, and Pardon featuring Belgian singer Stromae.

Fans first caught wind of a Burna–Shaboozey collab late last year, when behind-the-scenes photos from a recording session quietly started making the rounds. Now, it’s official. Burna shared a teaser of the track on social media this week, and it’s already making waves.

As for Burna Boy’s next moves? He’s taking the new album on the road, with a massive show set for April 18 at Paris’ iconic Stade de France—an 80,000-seat venue that few African artists have ever headlined.

With Burna’s signature energy and Shaboozey’s rising star power, Change Your Mind might just be one of the standout tracks of the summer—and possibly, a genre-breaking moment in music history.
