In South Africa’s Limpopo province, a tragic bus accident involving passengers from Zimbabwe has resulted in the deaths of 10 people and injuries to 35 others. The accident occurred late Tuesday night just before midnight as the bus was en route to Johannesburg.

According to local authorities, the bus was traveling at high speed when it lost control after hitting a roundabout, leading to the vehicle overturning. The driver, reportedly inexperienced and unfamiliar with the area, lost control of the bus.

The victims, who were foreign nationals, included five men and five women. The injured were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Despite South Africa’s advanced road infrastructure, the country struggles with a high rate of road accidents, often attributed to reckless driving and poorly maintained vehicles. Earlier this year, a similar incident resulted in 45 fatalities when a bus carrying people to a religious event plunged off a bridge.

The local government has expressed condolences to the victims’ families and urged all motorists to remain vigilant and drive safely.
