Andre Onana, the goalie for Cameroon, was benched just hours before his team’s important World Cup match against Serbia on Monday.

According to a football federation source who spoke to AFP, Devis Epassy, a goalkeeper for Saudi Arabia’s Abha team, took Onana’s spot in the Group G match due to unexplained disciplinary issues.

The 26-year-old Onana participated in Cameroon’s opening 1-0 loss to Switzerland last week and has 34 caps for his nation.
After a lack of playing time for Ajax due to his nine-month doping suspension from the previous season, he signed as a free agent for Serie A team Inter in the summer.

If Cameroon loses and Brazil defeats the Swiss later on Monday, they will be eliminated from the World Cup with one game remaining.
