Yesterday, an unfortunate incident occurred during a PlayStation 5 giveaway event in New York City. Kai Cenat, a popular streamer known for his positive presence on social media, was arrested amidst the harmless giveback event that had drawn a massive crowd of enthusiastic fans.
As reported by BBC News this morning, the New York City Police Department plans to charge Cenat with several counts, including inciting a riot and unlawful assembly. According to the NYPD, the event had no permit, prompting them to declare it a “Level 4” mobilization, with around 1,000 officers deployed to manage the situation.

Currently, Cenat is out of custody and awaiting updates on the charges he is facing in the upcoming weeks.
Following the arrest, several rappers took to social media to support Cenat. NLE Choppa expressed his frustration, pointing out the disparities in how certain situations are handled, particularly for successful Black individuals giving back to their communities.
