Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca, expressed confidence in Manchester United’s new manager, Rúben Amorim, as the two teams prepare for their upcoming Premier League face-off at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 3.

Maresca’s support follows United’s recent decision to bring in Amorim, with Ruud Van Nistelrooy stepping in as interim manager after Erik ten Hag’s departure. Maresca praised Amorim’s track record, saying, “I truly believe Rúben Amorim will thrive at Manchester United. I’ve followed Sporting’s games closely, and their approach to both defense and attack is admirable. I’m sure Amorim will make a real difference.”

In the meantime, interim boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy highlighted the potential of United’s young striker, Joshua Zirkzee, who joined from Bologna last summer in a £36.5 million transfer. Van Nistelrooy shared, “Joshua has tremendous talent and is at a prime age for growth. It’s essential we support him and give him time to develop. I’m confident he’ll continue to improve and become a key player for the club.”

Ahead of the match at Old Trafford, Chelsea sits in 6th place with 17 points from 9 games, while Manchester United is currently 13th with 11 points in 9 games.
