The ‘Dead to Me’ actress called out the political commentator for her “f***ing gross” comments on a campaign for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS clothing line promoting products for those with disabilities.

Christina Applegate has suspended conservative commentator Candace Owens after she criticized an underwear advertisement featuring a model in a wheelchair.

This week, a clip from Owens’ Daily Wire show sparked outrage on social media when she blasted a 2022 campaign for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS clothing line that featured a model in a wheelchair promoting products for those with disabilities.

“I’m not sure how far we’re going to take this inclusivity thing.” I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I’m not sure. “And if I’m wrong, educate me again; today, I just want to be educated in the comments,” Owens responded to the ad. “What motivated them to do this?” I’m not sure, I’m not sure why this had to be done. I’m sick and tired of being all-inclusive. It appears absurd.
“By the way,” she added, “I think people in wheelchairs will back me up on this.” “I believe they are on my side. “I believe they believe this is stupid.”

“Yes, it’s a late tweet. But I awoke to find the most horrifying thing,” Applegate tweeted on Thursday. “This Candace person is making comments about companies that recognize our need for assistance. It’s disgusting. I’d like to thank skims, Tommy, Guide beauty, and @neowalksticks for coming out to see us.”

The Bad Moms star, who revealed in August 2021 that she had multiple sclerosis, went on to say, “I’m going to try and sleep, but my rage is keeping me awake.” Candace Owens, do you remember how difficult it was to get my clothes on when you saw pictures of me? A team must assist me!!! So I’m looking forward to accessible clothing for myself and my community. “I hope you wake up.”

She later tweeted again, writing, “I thought my last tweet was enough.” But then my heart told me something different. There is no rage. Candace can call me if she wants to learn more about being disabled. I will not come angry. I will arrive with love. Because she requires to hear it. Tonight, I will pray for her. sincerely.”

Another commentator reacted to Owens’ remarks by saying that “wheelchair users will not agree with [Owens’] views.” The model featured in the ad, Haleigh Rosa, recently told Forbes that she was shocked to hear the political commentator’s remarks, saying, “it’s so often assumed that the disability community should be felt bad for.” People with disabilities I know are some of the most resilient people I know. If [Owens] truly wishes to educate herself, she may contact me. I’m not a canceler; I believe in the power of education. I’d love to talk to Candace and educate her.”

After being chastised online, the political pundit responded in a video posted online Wednesday, saying, “Let’s debunk the idea that I’m an ableist.” I thought it was really interesting that I wanted to pursue disabled people and get them out of spaces because that is absolute nonsense.”

“I’ve spent my entire life fighting the idea that, in order for me to feel like I’m allowed to be Black or a woman, I need to see Black women everywhere,” she continued. That is the polar opposite of what it means to be confident. Tyra Banks does not need to be a model for me. I don’t need to see Tyra Banks in her undies.”
