SZA’s “SOS Tour” is making a comeback, and there’s an exciting twist for the second leg of the North American tour. Emerging artist d4vd, hailing from Houston, will be joining as a supporting act.

Taking to Instagram, the 18-year-old musician expressed his exhilaration, saying, “Trying not to panic. SZA, thank you for having me on tour. I cannot believe my eyes right now. This is going to be insane.”

d4vd gained recognition with chart-topping hits like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” His most recent track, “Notes From A Wrist,” was inspired by a childhood friend’s battle with depression and crossed the 1 million streams milestone on Spotify. The song also paved the way for his upcoming EP, “The Lost Petals,” set to release on September 8th, promising more musical gems to come.

In a recent press release, d4vd delved into the deep emotions that underlie his song. The artist shared, “This song encapsulates the pain of growing up in an unstable household, a sentiment many from my generation can relate to. The sonic landscape is stripped down, with vocals that resonate like a haunting voice within.”

Following an impressive gross of around $34.5 million during the initial leg, SZA and her team are gearing up for a more dynamic second phase of the “SOS Tour.” Commencing on September 20th in Miami, the journey will traverse significant cities such as Toronto, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, and Houston, culminating in Phoenix on October 29th.

Although the 2023 edition of the Made In America festival, where SZA was set to co-headline alongside Lizzo, has been officially canceled, fans can still look forward to her live performances in the upcoming month.

In December, the artist behind “Love Galore” achieved her first Billboard 200 chart-topping project with “SOS.” The album made its debut with 318,000 equivalent album units in the week concluding on December 15th. With 23 tracks, the LP featured guest appearances from notable artists like Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
