West Ham United boss David Moyes shares his concerns about losing key African players, including Mohammed Kudus, for the upcoming 2023 AFCON. The potential absence of Kudus, Said Benrahma, and Nayef Aguerd during the January tournament poses a challenge for Moyes, who values their contributions to the team. Despite the disappointment, Moyes acknowledges that managing such situations is part of the game.

Kudus, who has seamlessly integrated into English football, has emerged as a crucial player for West Ham this season. In the recent match against Crystal Palace, the Ghanaian scored his third Premier League goal, showcasing his impact on the team.

Moyes’ concerns echo those of Athletic Bilbao manager Ernesto Bilbao, who also worries about missing Inaki Williams during the AFCON. Bilbao acknowledges the challenge but remains optimistic about navigating through December without any issues.

The 2023 AFCON is scheduled to take place in the Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11 next year.
