On Sunday, February 19, the 2023 Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton began in Accra with a night of worship and praise. At the Perez Dome in Dzorwulu, Accra, fans and patrons were treated to outstanding performances by other anointed gospel artists, including Joe Mettle, Ohemaa Mercy, Perez Musik, Celestine Donkor, Bernice Panford, and Christiana Attafuah.
The iconic gospel artiste began her ministration with a rendition of Robin Mark’s song ‘Days of Elijah,’ dressed in an elegant pink gown with a mock neck and draped cape sleeve. As Diana Hamilton ministered with her band and BVs, fans, and patrons cheered her on with a loud voice.
The ‘My Meditations’ singer continued to demonstrate her talent as a vocalist when she ministered an impressive rendition of some of her older songs, including ‘Nyame Aye Bi,’ ‘I Believe,’ ‘Osoro Be Kasa,’ ‘Lord of Hosts,’ and ‘Eye Wo Ah,’ among others.
Diana introduced her younger sister, Adelaide, whose story influenced the writing of her hit song ‘Adom,’ in the final part of her sermon. Her sister joined her on stage for a duet, singing ‘Adom’ together, which was one of the event’s memorable highlights.
Diana Hamilton provided her audience with an excellent experience, as the theme suggests. It was an impactful and successful night that will be remembered by fans and patrons.
The Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton in Kumasi will take place on Sunday, February 26 at the Bantama Church of Pentecost.
