According to former Forbes entertainment editor Zack O’Malley Greenburg, the Bad Boy tycoon, whose net worth has risen to $1 billion, ranks second on the list of the richest hip-hop musicians in 2022. One source of Diddy’s billion-dollar riches is his $60 million yearly Ciroc agreement with Diageo. The 52-year-old billionaire’s business also includes his majority-owned television network, REVOLT, DeLeón Tequila, music library, and other investments.

Kanye West, who lost his billionaire status after making anti-Semitic and anti-Black remarks that cost him his lucrative Adidas deal, is replaced by him. From a reported $2 billion to about $500 million, his overall wealth decreased.

Ye later stated, “I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I’m still alive. “I am not defined by money. Who I am is the people.

With a net worth of $1.5 billion, JAY-Z, who was recognized as a hip-first hop billionaire in 2019, reclaims his position as the genre’s richest musician. This is made possible by his lucrative businesses, such as Roc Nation and Armand de Brignac. He gave LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton a 50 percent ownership in the high-end champagne company last year.

Gilbert “Berner” Milam comes in at No. 4 with a net worth of $410 million because of his cannabis business, Cookies, which has 48 locations internationally and sells 70 cannabis strains and 2,000 marijuana-related goods. The rapper and businessman from the Bay Area still own an estimated 30% of the business.

Berner is followed by Dr. Dre, who has a $400 million fortune. His assets, which were once estimated at $800 million, have suffered as a result of his $100 million settlement with his ex-wife, half of which has already been paid, and his $70 million investment in the establishment of a music institution at the University of Southern California.

The aggregate earnings of the top five hip-hop artists are now estimated to be $3.8 billion, up from $3.17 billion before the outbreak.
