Hugh Jackman revealed on Tuesday that he had two biopsies because he was at risk of developing basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.
The Australian actress underwent additional tests after a specialist was unsure whether two small spots he noticed were basal cells.
“I’ll find out in two or three days, and I’ll let you know as soon as I know,” Jackman said in the video.
A carcinoma of this type typically appears as a slightly transparent lump on the head or neck. It is thought to be caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet rays, and Jackman claims it is “the least dangerous of all” cancers.

Neither the first nor the second operation
Since 2013, Jackman has had six operations to remove basal cell carcinomas. As a result, he decided to raise awareness before the summer.
“Summer is on its way for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Please use sunscreen “Jackman remarked.
“No matter how badly you want to tan, it’s simply not worth it. Believe me, believe me, believe me.”
