Achraf Hakimi, a Moroccan and Paris St-Germain footballer, has become a global trending topic after his wife discovered he owns nothing despite earning millions of Euros as a sportsman in his prime.
Hiba Abouk, Hakimi’s wife, had filed for divorce and sought an equitable division of the footballer’s assets, but it was revealed during the court hearing that he had nothing in his name.
Hiba was taken aback when she discovered that her 24-year-old husband had transferred all of his assets and funds to his mother’s name and that he frequently asked her to buy items for him.
Millions of dollars in Hakimi’s pay were deposited in accounts in his mother’s name, as were his homes, cars, clothes, and jewelry.
According to reports, 80% of everything he owns is registered in his mother’s name.
Remember that Hakimi and Hiba began dating in 2018; they married in 2020; and they have two sons. Following an allegation of cheating, she filed for divorce in March 2023.
The fact that Hakimi was being investigated for alleged rape in Paris, France, despite the fact that his marriage to the Spanish actress had been deteriorating for months, was the final straw.
Hakimi’s decision to protect his wealth by not having it registered in his name has sparked international interest, with some hailing him as “wise” and a living legend.
