The premiere of Lisabi, an epic historical film, was a dazzling affair where the cast arrived in majestic, elegant outfits that perfectly captured the movie’s grandeur. The evening was a stunning display of cultural richness, with vibrant agbadas and intricately crafted gowns showcasing the film’s deep heritage and lasting legacy.
Produced by Adedimeji Lateef and Adebimpe Lateef, and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, Lisabi recounts the gripping tale of Lisabi, a hero from Igbehin in the Egba village of Itoku. Lisabi led the Egba people in a brave revolt against the oppressive rule of the Alaafin of Oyo, a dominant force in Yorubaland.
Featuring an outstanding cast, the film stars Femi Adebayo Salami, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Itele Yekini, Ibrahim Chattah, Juliana Olayode, Olumide Oworu, Mr Macaroni, Eniola Ajao, Gabriel Afolayan, Roseline Omokhoa Afije (Liquorose), and Adedimeji Lateef.
