Patrick Fakoya, a lawyer from Nigeria who became well-known on reality television, passed away at the age of 29.
In 2018, the Big Brother Naija television series featured Fakoya, better known by his stage name Rico Swavey.
In a message sent out early on Thursday, his management acknowledged his passing.
In the commercial center of Nigeria, Lagos, Rico Swavey was injured in a car accident on Tuesday and was taken to the hospital.
