Renowned actor Mark Margolis, best known for his role in Breaking Bad, has passed away at 83, according to his family. The actor, who appeared in numerous TV shows and films, including Scarface and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, died after a brief illness at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Margolis gained fame for his Emmy-nominated portrayal of Hector “Tio” Salamanca in Breaking Bad, where he communicated through a bell attached to his wheelchair. He also reprised the role in the prequel series “Better Call Saul.”
Despite often playing villains on screen, Margolis was described as humorous and self-deprecating off-camera. He had studied acting under the legendary Stella Adler in New York. Survived by his wife, Jacqueline, his son Morgan, and several grandchildren, Margolis leaves behind a remarkable legacy in the entertainment industry.
