Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is set to present the 2023 mid-year budget review in Parliament today, July 31, 2023. The presentation was initially scheduled for July 27, 2023, but was postponed to July 25 before being cancelled altogether.

According to Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, the Mid-Year Fiscal Policy Review of the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2023 Financial Year is now expected to be delivered on Monday, July 31, 2023, as per a statement from the Finance Ministry.

The presentation will provide updates on the economic and fiscal performance during the first half of the year and shed light on the implementation of the 2023 Budget. Moreover, it will cover the measures taken to implement the Post COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG), supported by the IMF, with the aim of stabilizing the economy, fostering growth, and offering social protection for the most vulnerable.
