Big Scarr died last week, but his funeral has become a source of contention.

On December 22, the Memphis rapper who was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records died. Following his death, his family claims that Gucci reneged on his offer to pay for his funeral.

Quezz Ruthless, a Memphis rapper, went live on Instagram on Sunday and called out Gucci.

“The minute they called your phone to see if you were going to pay for the funeral, you blocked them,” Quezz explained. “That’s not true. That cannot be true. You’re not straight… You’re just trying to be authentic. You mentioned Scarr and some ‘Long live him.’ You’re not doing anything.”

According to Quezz, Gucci stated that he was unable to cover funeral expenses because his wife Keyshia Ka’oir’s birthday was approaching. “Y’all rich, y’all can celebrate her birthday any day,” added Quezz.

He also claimed that Gucci requested that Scarr’s family return the 1017 chains he gave Scarr.

“You won’t be able to get them chains. You’re not going to get those chains. “There’s no way that’s happening,” Quezz said, while Scarr’s sister confirmed the claim. “He asked for the chains back, and NO, he’s not getting them hos back!” Alexandra Woods exclaimed.

Gucci’s wife, Keyshia Ka’oir, has now defended her husband, claiming that Gucci did indeed pay for Scarr’s funeral. She posted two funeral home receipts totaling $20,000.

“He did it out of the goodness of his heart!” exclaimed Keyshia, adding, “We also sent flowers and no thank you.”

Big Scarr died as a result of an accidental prescription drug overdose, according to his family. The investigation into his death is still ongoing.

Gucci was bereaved at the time of his death. “This hurt — I miss you @bigscarr,” he admitted.
