The rapper is collaborating with Drake for his new documentary For Khadija, following the release of his mixtape CB6: Money Heist Edition. The autobiographical film was named after French’s mother, Khadija Guled, and is executive produced by the 6 God.
“I just finished filming my documentary out here… “That’s for my mother,” French explained on Mike Tyson’s “Hotboxin'” podcast. “She came out here and gave her life for us. My father had left and she had stayed, and she had helped shape who I am, so I dedicate it to her. Drake is the executive producer.”
The documentary will follow French’s life and career from the time he was 13 and moved from Morocco to the Bronx.
“It’s a real immigrant story coming from Africa, from Morocco, and just to the hip-hop culture and the Bronx, and really just being in culture shock and not knowing English when I was 13 when I came, and just taking it from there,” he explained.

French and Drake are no strangers to working together. The longtime pals have collaborated on a number of hits over the years, including “Pop That,” “No Stylist,” and “No Shopping.”
French released Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition on Friday, featuring A$AP Rocky, Vory, Jeremih, Benny the Butcher, EST Gee, and Nav.
Ten people were injured outside a Miami restaurant where he was believed to be filming a music video on the eve of his album’s release. He addressed the incident in a statement.
“Last night, I was in Miami with friends celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape at a local restaurant,” he tweeted. “Unfortunately, we were in the wrong place at the wrong time when an incident occurred that caused people to be injured. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”
