The 2024 Grammy Awards is scheduled for Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. ET, with leading nominees including SZA, Drake, and Doja Cat. Ahead of the ceremony, the Recording Academy’s Grammy House is set to return for another year.
One of the week’s highlights is a masterclass featuring Halle Bailey. Designed primarily for Grammy U members, this event provides a unique opportunity for attendees to gain insights from the songstress about her experiences in music and film. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed on the Grammy Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels.
Expressing his excitement for the second installment of Grammy House, CEO Harvey Mason Jr. stated, “The response last year from younger fans and artists just starting their relationship with the Recording Academy was overwhelming, and we’re a better organization because of the increased engagement with them. I’m grateful for the amazing artists and partners who are helping make this year’s Grammy House an even bigger success.”
It’s noteworthy that Halle’s song “Angel” is competing for Best R&B Song at the ceremony, marking her first solo nomination. In 2021, her collaboration with sister Chlöe Bailey received a nomination in the same category.
Halle’s upcoming talk will mark one of her initial public appearances since sharing the news of her son, Halo. On January 6, she posted a picture on Instagram holding his tiny hand, along with a caption that expressed her joy, saying, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son… Welcome to the world, my Halo. The world is desperate to know you.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, Chlöe revealed how they managed to keep Halle’s pregnancy under wraps, calling it the “best-kept secret ever.” She shared, “I would tell her, like, take social media off your phone, you know, I keep all her other secrets. So this was just another one in the books.”
