Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, recently revealed his plans to donate a staggering N300 million to orphanages across Nigeria.

In a post shared on his official X account, the singer expressed his commitment to contributing to the nation by allocating these funds to orphanages as part of his yearly philanthropic gesture.

“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow,” Davido wrote.

In another development, Davido excitedly shared news of receiving a Rolex wristwatch gift from Atletico Madrid player, Memphis Depay.

The singer took to his Instagram account to share the delightful news, revealing that he received the gift after performing at the striker’s 30th birthday bash.

Expressing his gratitude, Davido highlighted that this was a rare occasion for him as he seldom receives gifts, usually being the one to bestow generosity upon others.

He reminisced about past birthdays where Nigerian celebrities gifted him cash, which he later donated to charity, emphasizing that he has always been accustomed to giving rather than receiving.

In his words, “N*gga bought me a rolex on his own birthday! I never receive gifts, I’ve always been the one to gift people.”
