Nollywood star Iheme Nancy has thrown her weight behind former presidential candidate Peter Obi, saying she’s fully prepared to support his campaign — no payment needed.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared that while politics isn’t usually her thing, she’s making an exception this time. Her reason? Future generations. “I’ll campaign for Peter Obi anytime, any day — for free,” she wrote. “For my unborn kids, my family, and the next generation.”

Iheme also addressed the criticism Obi has been facing, suggesting that the backlash might actually mean he’s on the right path. “Why all the hate?” she asked. “That just shows he’s doing something right.”

In a surprising twist, actor Yul Edochie — a known supporter of President Bola Tinubu — also weighed in on Nigeria’s political future. In a video shared online, he called for the South-East to be given a fair shot at leading the nation, arguing that balance across regions is essential.

Yul’s stance caught many off guard, especially considering his consistent praise for Tinubu and his calls for Nigerians to remain hopeful amid the current economic challenges.

With both voices speaking up, the conversation about leadership, unity, and fairness in Nigeria just got a bit louder.
