During her recent appearance on Cool FM Nigeria’s popular segment, The Big Friday Show, hosted by former BBNaija contestant Tacha, the Guinness World Record Holder disclosed her persistent efforts to join the show. Hilda Baci explained that her initial intention was to gain exposure through Big Brother Naija and then embark on her ambitious cooking marathon, known as the cook-a-thon. However, her aspirations to enter the reality show were met with repeated rejections.

In her own words:

“I actually tried to get on Big Brother [Naija] for a while. I think I auditioned about four or five times. The plan for the cook-a-thon was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thon.”

Notably, Hilda Baci made waves on social media when she unveiled the recipe for a soup crafted from a N60,000 fish. On her TikTok platform, the celebrated culinary expert took her audience through the process of preparing a barracuda fish soup, skillfully incorporating additional proteins like shrimp and snails. The step-by-step guide offered viewers an engaging culinary tutorial.

Hilda Baci’s revelation about the staggering cost of the fish, priced at N60,000, captured the attention of many. In a spirit of culinary sharing, she added a personal touch by stating:

“We call this fish soup at home. Some call it fisherman soup and they are so many recipes to this. I just thought to share one of mine with you. Was it helpful? Will you try it?”

Hilda Baci’s journey showcases her determination and passion, whether it’s her culinary pursuits or her aspirations to enter the world of reality television. Her story is a reminder that success is often built on persistence and a genuine love for one’s craft.
