Toyosi Effiong Reflects on Trust in Marriage After Seven Years
Nollywood actor Daniel Etim Effiong and his wife, Toyosi Effiong, opened up about the complexities of trust in their marriage during an episode of Toyosi’s YouTube podcast, The Toyosi.
During their candid conversation, Daniel posed a heartfelt question to his wife: “Do you trust me 100% after seven years of marriage?”
Toyosi’s response was both honest and reflective. She admitted, “Do I trust you a hundred per cent? No, but I trust that you’ll always keep me in the loop.” She added with a smile, “Maybe not completely in the loop, but after these years together, I’ve come to know you well and continue to understand you better.”
Expanding on her thoughts, Toyosi expressed her faith in Daniel’s commitment to their marriage. “I trust that you’ll do everything possible to honor your vows and our relationship. But I’m also realistic—life is unpredictable, and things can happen. That said, I believe I’d know if something was ever amiss.”
