Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, an independent candidate in the ongoing Ejisu by-election, has stated that he will respect the outcome of the election.

A former Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Mr. Aduomi expressed his indifference towards the election results, emphasizing his commitment to serving Ghana’s interests as an independent legislator, should he win.

Reflecting on his past tenure in Parliament, he highlighted his impartial approach, stating that he supported initiatives beneficial to the state regardless of their origin. This impartial stance led some to label him as aligned with the NDC, although he now stands independently.

Mr. Aduomi asserted his dedication to serving Ghana’s interests above all, regardless of the election outcome, emphasizing his joy in responding to the call of his constituents to continue his work.

The by-election for the Ejisu constituency, conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC), is being held today to fill the vacant seat left by the late Member of Parliament and Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, who passed away on March 07, 2024.

Kwabena Boateng was selected by the NPP on April 13, 2024, from a pool of nine contenders to represent the party in the election.
