Tory Lanez Maintains Innocence After Sentencing for Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Incident.

Despite being sentenced to a decade in jail for the shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez staunchly proclaims his innocence. The rapper has refused to apologize for an action he asserts he did not commit. Lanez faced convictions for assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possessing a concealed and loaded firearm in a vehicle, and negligently discharging a firearm.

In the face of the verdict, Lanez hasn’t wavered in his stance and has conveyed his thoughts in a heartfelt message.

Directly addressing his supporters, Lanez shared, “To The Umbrellas,

Challenges have never intimidated me,

Jail time won’t break me.

Despite attempts to twist my words, I’ve consistently upheld my innocence and will continue to do so.

During the trial, I took responsibility for my words and interactions, but it’s important to clarify—I wasn’t apologizing for the wrongful charges I’m facing. I stand firm, refusing to apologize for something I didn’t do.

Life has thrown hardships my way, and every time it seemed like defeat, I emerged victorious. This is yet another moment where I won’t back down; I’ll keep fighting until I triumph.

Difficult phases are temporary; resilient individuals endure.

To my family, friends, and supporters, thank you for standing by me. I’ll be back soon.”

The 31-year-old rapper received his sentence in the Los Angeles Superior Court for injuring the Savage hitmaker in both feet following a party in July 2020.
