Actress Uche Ogbodo has decided to step away from Instagram, telling her followers she will no longer be active on the platform.
The mother of three shared the update on Wednesday in a post where she explained that she simply feels the need to take a break from social media.
“It was fun while it lasted, but I’m leaving Instagram for good. It’s time to rest,” she wrote.
In a separate development, American singer Chris Brown has also pulled the plug on his Instagram account after facing fresh criticism during his Breezy Bowl XX tour stop in Los Angeles.
The controversy began when Brown brought sports journalist Kayla Nicole—best known as the ex-girlfriend of NFL player Travis Kelce—on stage for a sensual performance. The act reignited longstanding accusations of colorism that have often surrounded the singer.
Fans pointed to his dating history and earlier controversies, including a 2023 incident in the UK where two women claimed they were denied access to a VIP section at one of his shows. Brown denied those allegations, but the criticism never fully went away.
After clips of the Los Angeles performance went viral, the 35-year-old artist responded briefly online before deactivating his page. He explained that the backlash had crossed a line and that he was taking a break from social media altogether.
As of now, his Instagram account has been completely deactivated.
