Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru had nothing but love to pour out as her husband, music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, marked his 50th birthday on September 18.
Taking to Instagram, Natasha playfully teased the age gap between them, joking that despite being twenty years older, 2Baba somehow still looks younger than she does.
In her heartfelt note, she reflected on the memories they’ve built together this year, describing it as the best season of her life. She prayed for their union to remain strong and everlasting, writing:
“Happy birthday to the love of my life. You’re 50! Oh wow! You’re twenty years older, yet you look younger than me—so ironic. Innocent Ujah Idibia, my husband, words can’t express the joy you’ve brought into my life. My joy is complete with you in it. This year has been the best year of my life. Waking up next to you every morning is one of the greatest blessings, and I thank God for that. Baby, I want to spend the rest of my life loving and caring for you.”
Meanwhile, 2Baba’s management has brushed aside the constant chatter around his personal life, making it clear that no controversy can erase his influence.
Speaking on behalf of A Guy Entertainment, Chioma Ebubedike-Igbokwe, Head of Legal and Communication, explained that the global rise of Afrobeats is built on the foundation laid by pioneers like 2Baba.
She noted that instead of competing with younger artists, the team is focused on creating spaces where 2Baba’s voice and legacy remain essential.
