Gideon Okeke Drags Jim Iyke Over Controversial Birthday Post to Kate Henshaw
Gideon Okeke isn’t holding back.
The Nollywood actor took a swipe at fellow actor Jim Iyke after the latter posted a rather questionable birthday message to veteran actress Kate Henshaw. In the post, Jim laced his message with heavy sarcasm, expressing frustration that Kate treated him like a younger brother when, according to him, he had romantic intentions.
Jim’s post took a wild turn as he accused Kate of “manipulating” him with kindness during their early acting days—helping him out with transport fare, giving him tips about auditions, and generally looking out for him. He went on to say she knew he had deeper feelings, even jokingly suggesting they’d have had a child in their twenties by now had she allowed him to “experiment.”
While Jim may have thought the post was humorous or reflective, many weren’t laughing—including Gideon.
Reacting on Instagram, Gideon called out Jim for being completely out of line with the post.
“Someone come get this guy,” Gideon wrote. “The audacity is wild. This is the kind of behavior people let slide that makes others think they can act like clowns in real life.”
Clearly unimpressed, Gideon ended his response with a stinging jab: “Small boy. Loud mouth. Nonsense.”
