Iyabo Ojo Gets Candid About Love, Space, and Letting Faith Lead
Actress Iyabo Ojo is opening up again about her relationship with music executive Paul Okoye, also known as Paulo—and she’s keeping it refreshingly real.
During a recent chat on TVC’s Your View, the star made it clear: marriage isn’t on the table. And that’s by choice. For Iyabo and Paulo, it’s all about understanding each other’s pace and space.
“He’s a hard worker, and so am I,” she shared. “Sometimes, I just need to be by myself, and when that moment comes, I go back to my own place. There’s no drama—he gets it.”
With honesty and warmth, she added, “We’re happy with how things are. We don’t need marriage to define our connection.”
But that’s not all Iyabo is celebrating. Her joy reached new heights as her daughter, Priscilla, recently tied the knot with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.
Reflecting on her journey as a single mum, Iyabo poured out her heart on Instagram, expressing deep gratitude to God and sharing words of hope for fellow single mothers.
“There were times I had to speak faith into my own life,” she wrote. “Today, I can say that my faith didn’t fail me.”
Her emotional message thanked Juma Jux for loving her daughter wholeheartedly. “You’re not just a son-in-law—you’re my son,” she said with pride.
To Priscilla, she wrote, “You’ve made me proud, and I pray your home overflows with love, laughter, and endless blessings.”
Iyabo closed her post with a heartfelt thank-you to everyone celebrating with her. “May joy never leave your homes, and may you live to see your children soar.”
