Ja Rule, the celebrated American rapper and producer, has recently touched down in Ghana, fulfilling his pledge to visit the country as announced last week. Alongside his wife and companions, he landed in Ghana on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, marking the commencement of a meaningful project: the construction of a classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the esteemed non-profit organization, Pencils of Promise, renowned for its global endeavors in school construction and educational advancement.

Prior to his arrival, Ja Rule had hinted at his plans to visit this West African nation through a tweet. While his primary objective was to lay the groundwork for the classroom block, he also took the opportunity to explore the rich history of Ghana. Among his notable visits was to the historic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park & Mausoleum situated in Accra.

Accompanied by his team, Ja Rule delved into the legacy of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and absorbed insights into the nation’s historical narrative. Nestled in Accra, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum serves as the final resting place of Ghana’s pioneering leader and Africanist. The park houses a treasure trove of rare artifacts chronicling Ghana’s struggle for independence, offering visitors a profound glimpse into the Sub-Saharan liberation movement.

Today, on Wednesday, April 10, the groundbreaking ceremony for the school construction project is slated to take place at Nuaso in the Eastern Region. It’s a significant step towards enhancing educational infrastructure and fostering brighter futures for the youth of Ghana.
