Stressing the need for objective assessments of the Electoral Commission’s efforts, she underscored the responsibility of the media in upholding the truth and promoting transparency. Speaking on the theme “Leveraging Media Freedom to Sustain the Democratic and Security Architecture: The Litmus Test of Election 2024,” she highlighted the pivotal role of journalists in nurturing the nation’s resilience and unity.
Mensa called for a collective commitment to prioritize the nation’s interests above political divisions, emphasizing the crucial impact of responsible journalism on Ghana’s stability. Addressing the detrimental effects of media-driven misinformation and propaganda, she urged media outlets to uphold accuracy and truth, thus contributing to a more transparent and united society.
