According to People, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen welcomed a new baby on Friday, January 13.
During a private concert, the Grammy-winning singer revealed the exciting news, saying, “the little baby this morning.”
“What a blessed day,” he exclaimed to the audience.
The proud father admitted that he “didn’t get much sleep,” but that he “feels energized” after spending “a lot of time” at the hospital.
Teigen announced in August that she was expecting again after the miscarriage of their son Jack in October 2020.
“To say the least, the last few years have been a blur of emotions, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” Teigen, who underwent IVF treatments, said. “1 billion shots later (most recently in the leg, as you can see!) we have another on the way.”
This is the newest member of the Legend family, which also includes daughter Luna, 6, and son Miles, 4, who are excited to meet their new sibling.
“They’ve been anticipating it for a long time,” Teigen explained. “I feel like this is going to be the longest pregnancy for them because they’ve known since the day they found out. But they’ve been extremely enthusiastic.”
