Kim and Khloe Kardashian Join Global Celebrities at Lavish Ambani Wedding
Kim and Khloe Kardashian were among the international celebrities spotted in India on Friday for a grand three-day wedding hosted by Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani.
Ambani’s youngest son, Anant, and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, both 29, are set to marry in Mumbai, following months of extravagant pre-wedding celebrations.
Earlier festivities included a European cruise for 1,200 guests, a custom-built Hindu temple at the Ambani family home, and private performances by Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
The Kardashians are the latest in a parade of famous attendees. Kim shared an Instagram story showing her car surrounded by photographers upon arrival and both sisters receiving flower garlands at their luxury hotel.
Former British prime ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair were also seen arriving at Mumbai airport ahead of Friday’s party.
In June, the couple celebrated with a Mediterranean cruise featuring a masquerade ball where Katy Perry performed at a French chateau in Cannes. Entertainment also included the Backstreet Boys, rapper Pitbull, and tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Previous events have hosted Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump, and numerous Indian celebrities.
This week’s celebrations are expected to be even grander, with more celebrities, politicians, and business elites arriving in Mumbai. Rumored attendees include Hillary Clinton, Mike Tyson, and John Cena.
Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, is the world’s 11th richest person, with a fortune exceeding $113 billion. He is known for his lavish family weddings, having hosted India’s most expensive wedding in 2018 for his daughter, which featured a performance by Beyoncé.
Ambani’s business empire spans oil, gas, petrochemicals, retail, telecommunications, and sports. His 27-floor family home, Antilia, is one of Mumbai’s landmarks, reportedly costing over $1 billion and staffed by 600 servants.
Radhika Merchant comes from a prominent pharmaceutical family.
