The last public appearance of the princess was on December 25, accompanying her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, to a Christmas church service. Despite this, Middleton appeared to be in good spirits as recently as January 9 when she celebrated her birthday privately with her family at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, England.
Just a week later, the palace disclosed that Middleton had undergone a “successful” operation at the London Clinic, which we understands was significant but unrelated to cancer. She is expected to remain hospitalized for 10 to 14 days before continuing her recovery at home. Kensington Palace mentioned that Middleton is not likely to resume public duties until after Easter, respecting her privacy regarding further details.
