Keisha Nash-Whitaker, the talented actress and producer, and former spouse of Forest Whitaker, has passed away at the age of 51, as confirmed by her family. The specific cause of her death has not been disclosed.

True, Whitaker’s daughter, shared the heartbreaking news through an Instagram story, bidding farewell to her mother with a touching message: “Goodbye mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond. The most beautiful woman in the world… Thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I’ll see you in my dreams, and I’ll feel you in my heart.”

The union of Whitaker and Nash blossomed on the set of “Blown Away” in 1994. Reflecting on their connection in a 2020 interview with Essence, Nash mentioned being captivated by Whitaker’s performance in “A Rage in Harlem” back in 1991, even before they formally met. She remarked, “Right away, I thought Forest had a gentle soul and a nice spirit.”

The couple exchanged vows in Jamaica in 1996. However, in 2018, Whitaker initiated divorce proceedings, citing “irreconcilable differences” according to various media reports. The pair had two daughters together, Sonnet, 25, and True, 25.

Keisha Nash-Whitaker made her mark in the film industry, portraying Collette in the 2004 film “Proud” and taking on the role of executive producer for Kief Davidson’s “Kassim the Dream” in 2008, as outlined in her IMDb profile. Her contributions to the world of cinema will be remembered, and her legacy will live on through her work.
