While accepting an award for her work with kids, Kim Kardashian was recognized by her colleagues, and the star power of those who appeared on camera to congratulate her was really cosmic.
The 2022 Baby2Baby Gala took place on Saturday night in Los Angeles, and the organizers gave Kim the “Giving Tree Award” for her support of the organization for more than ten years and contributed to its development. The organization provides aid to underprivileged children all across the world.
Show producers aired a montage they’d filmed with a ton of celebrities who each explained why Kim was deserving of such acclaim before she went on stage to accept. They were able to snag some of the most well-known names in Hollywood to dish on the accolades.
Chris Rock, Serena Williams, Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ryan Seacrest, Hillary Clinton, and others were among the guests that talked on KK. It goes without saying that her own family also participated, including her mother Kris Jenner, three of her sisters, and even her daughter North.
When Tyler Perry gave Kim the award, she spoke about what justice meant to her and basically said that it meant doing what is right no matter what.
The star-studded gathering naturally raised upwards of $12 million during the fundraising part. Together with co-founders Emma and Jems Grede, two of Kim’s SKIMS partners, she made a $1 million donation. Tyler also contributed, contributing $500,000.
