Kris Jenner is devastated by Tristan Thompson’s mother, Andrea Thompson’s, “unexpected” death.
“I am so heartbroken by Tristan’s mom, Andrea’s, sudden passing,” the momager, 67, wrote in a touching Instagram tribute Friday, before sending her condolences to the NBA star and his siblings Amari, Dishawn, and Daniel Thompson.
“You were an incredible, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mother, as well as a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. “You were such a blessing to your family!!!” Jenner went on.
“Andrea, I will miss you. I will miss your radiant spirit and incredible light. Thank you for always praying for us, lifting us up, and encouraging us. Rest in peace, sweet angel @realtristan13.”
Jenner’s heartfelt message comes after a source said that Andrea went into cardiac arrest on Thursday and was unable to be revived. Her death, according to an insider, was “unexpected.” Andrea suffered a heart attack at her home, according to TMZ, who broke the news first. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, but doctors were unable to resuscitate her.
Tristan, 31, and ex Khloé Kardashian, 38, flew from Los Angeles to Toronto privately so that the NBA champion could spend time with his family.
According to a source, the Good American founder will remain by Tristan’s side during this difficult time as they co-parent their 4-year-old daughter, True, and their son, whom they welcomed via surrogate last summer.
Tristan has expressed his love and gratitude to his mother on social media over the years.
In honor of Mother’s Day in 2020, the former Chicago Bulls star sent a special message to Andrea.
“Mommy, Happy Mother’s Day!” “One day is insufficient to praise and lift you up,” he wrote at the time. “Today is your day. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and my brothers. I adore you, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been chosen as your son. “Not every superhero wears a cape.”
